SCOUT DAY 2010

Scout Day is on Saturday, October 23 from Noon - 4:00pm.  Both Girl and Boy Scouts are invited to spend the day at T&D's working towards the badges below.  Please note that scouts will not be completing these badges, but rather they will be able to start the badges listed.  Plan for a 2 hour adventure.  Pre registration is required.  Please call or email your name, troop number, arrival time (last group scheduled for 3:00) and number of scouts in group.  Scout Admission is $4.00 per scout.   Regular admission applies to others who wish to attend that day.  Payment due upon arrival (cash or check only).This event is rain or shine.

Girl Scouts  Most of the events planned are for Junior Girl Scouts, however, there are activities specifically for Brownies and Daisies. 

Junior Girl Scouts will be able to work towards the following badges:
    1. Pet Care
    2. Wildlife
    3. Your Outdoor Surroundings
    4. Plants and Animals
    5. Earth Connections
    6. Doing/Making Hobbies
    7. Eco Action
    8. Outdoor Fun
Girls should bring along a pencil, paper, Girl Scout Badge book, and 2 or 3 photos of their favorite pet, animal, activity, or family member.

Brownies Girl Scouts will be able to work towards the following badges:
    1. Animals
    2. Earth and Sky
    3. Eco-Explorer
    4. Science in Action
    5. Plants
Girls should bring along a pencil and paper.

Daisy Girl Scouts will be able to work towards the following badges:
    1. Sound Sense
    2. Nature in Action

Please note: The above badge list may change prior to the event.

Boy Scouts  Most of the events planned are for Boy Scouts (ages 10-18), however, there are a few activities for Webelos, too. 

Webelos will be able to work towards the following badges:
    1. Forester
    2. Naturalist
Boys should bring along a pencil and paper.  One badge book per group would be helpful.

Boy Scouts will be able to work towards the following badges:
    1. Bird Study
    2. Dog Care
    3. Environmental Science
    4. Fish & Wildlife Management
    5. Forestry
    6. Pets
    7. Nature
    8. Mammal Study
    9. Veterinarian Medicine
   10. Animal Science
Boys should bring along a pencil and paper.  Your badge book may be helpful.
