PA Game Commission

PA Fish and Boat Commission
The fish and boat commission regulate not only fishing and boating in PA but also native reptiles and amphibians.

USDA United States Department of Agriculture APHIS division also regulates ownership of exotic and wild animals.  They regulate specific ownership and transportation between states.  This agency along with others inspect the premises where exotic wildlife are being housed.

PA SART- Home of State Animal Response and Emergency Rescue Team.  This agency will be responding to help animals when natural disasters or emergencies happen.   Each county has there own teams that may organize with other counties.  This is a new agency that is in the organizational stage.   They are looking for volunteers who have knowledge in small (dog/cat) and large (cow/horse) animals and also persons who may be able to provide shelters.   T&D's is a member of PA SART Special Teams to help with exotic wildlife.

Defenders of Wildlife  is dedicated to the protection of all native wild animals and plants in their natural communities. We focus our programs on what scientists consider two of the most serious environmental threats to the planet: the accelerating rate of extinction of species and the associated loss of biological diversity, and habitat alteration and destruction. Long known for our leadership on endangered species issues, Defenders of Wildlife also advocates new approaches to wildlife conservation that will help keep species from becoming endangered. Our program encourage protection of entire ecosystems and interconnected habitats while protecting predators that serve as indicator species for ecosystem health.
