THE PET EXPO

PA The Pet Expo website states, "Our Pet Expos are designed to educate and entertain the public about the wonderful world of pets. They are family oriented events featuring many educational demonstrations and seminars, hands-on-petting opportunities, special attractions, pet adoptions, and entertaining exhibits. Our Pet Expos also make available an outstanding shopping venue of products and services pertaining to pets and children."
WILD ABOUT ANIMALS -
State College, PA See Azzie, a 7 year old Bengal tiger, at both of these events. According to Center Wildlife Care's website: This event is an animal expo, outreach and educational event attended by 2000-3000 people. It features a variety of animal-related organizations such as veterinarians, rescue groups, a petting zoo, environmental groups, etc. with an emphasis on wildlife. Among the events scheduled are a silent auction, Easter games (with free prizes) in the children's section, educational programs, pony rides and lots of interesting animals such as dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, hawks, chickens, livestock and a camel...yes a camel!
HARVEST FESTIVAL -
Shade Mountain Winery For the past several years, the good people at Shade Mountain Winery have held a fundraiser to help the animals. During the month of October, a portion of the proceeds from RASCAL RED, a sweet fruity red wine, will be donated to the animals. We will be at the Harvest Festival on Saturday with an animal or two to show our appreciation. |

EVENTS AT T&D'S We are excited to bring you several events, during the 2011 season. More information to come! T&D's Cats of the World and Canoe Susquehanna have a "wild two day adventure" planned for you. Visit T&D's Cats of the World to view over 200 rescued wild animals, including lions, tigers, and yes, bears, Oh my! Take advantage of what our beautiful valley has to offer! Kayak on the river with Canoe Susquehanna and hike at a local state park. Several local state parks include - R.B.Winter State Park, Walker Lake & Tall Timbers and Montour Preserve. Please contact each facility to see what fees apply.
